Hindu Buddhist Cultural Association formerly known as Shakthivel Hindu Association had been running the Om Shakthivel Temple since 2012, however due to safety issues in the building which the landlord refused to rectify we were evicted when we claimed that there was no planning permission for the area, despite requests from the Harringay council and MP’s we have had no support. After much difficulty we have now acquired a temple premises in Olney, we request your support towards the opening of our temple.

We warm heartly request your kind support and donations to acquire new sculptures, to carry out building works and create new moolstana according to the new building and its positioning.

These donations are also used to support upcoming celebrations at the temple, and any community service the temple provides.

Our Shakthivel Temple was built to serve all members of the Sacramento community, not just Hindus. We welcome everyone with open arms and are always ready to help anyone with anything without bias and judgement.

The donations will symbolize one of Hinduisms most important teachings: Light over Darkness. As humans, we are inevitably privy to the evil that navigates through our world, but as a community we can band together to show that no matter what, our faith is stronger than any sort of brutality that comes our way. Personally, in hopes to help repair and purchase of a new and more secure deposit box, I am also hoping that donation will help our community return to the temple, especially with our most important celebrations coming up

I am asking that everyone, from any background or faith, to please take a moment to support our Temple as a way to show that no matter our background, we will come together to shine light in dark times.
